Design lettering over a photo, print the holes at true size, then stitch it by hand.

Print the photo at the size the template shows and stick it to heavy cardstock (250gsm or more).

Tape the template on top and poke each dot through with a seam ripper (with cardboard
underneath!).
- Stitch, following the chart.
A suggestion to start with: 9 stitches per inch with 3 strands of floss.
